About Thyra

Thyra Hilden is an new upcoming and very productive Danish singer and songwriter making dreamy sophisticated indietronica. Her simple and fun lyrics are full of Nordic melancholy to enjoy with friends, especially fans of Gracie Abrams, Cannons, Billie Eilish and Men I Trust.

All tracks on her upcoming EP “TRAPPED IN DREAMS” are about living in an illusion. Lyrics are melancholic, intelligent existentialism, mapping out the land between passionate love and insanity, in a humorous way. Though, to intelligent humor there is always a dark side….

The album is made in memory of the artists brother who committed suicide after 24 years of schizophrenia, a diseases where dream and reality is blending. The last and darkest track DUST is dedicated to his memory. All 4 other songs have a more vivid dancy vibe, serving a tribute to all dreamers who rather wanna dance than drown.

Thyra says of the inspiration behind the songs: “Love and loneliness are basically chemical processes in the brain and body, and this knowledge creates a slightly absurd twist to joy, longing and devotion.”

Inspirations: Billie Eilish, Men I Trust, Gracie Abrams, The Marias, The Weeknd, DuaLipa, Lorde, MØ, Drew, Sycamore, Fallulah, Tendo Herbst, Finneas O Connell, Benny Blanco, Blake Slatkin, Henry Kwapis, Jack Karouac, Magnus Høiberg, Max Martin, Greg Kurstin, Jack Antonoff, Louis Bell, Joel Little, Nigel Godrich, The Doctor Luke, Stargate Music, Rick Rubin, Rob Cavallo, Swizz Beatz, Tricky Stewart, Timbaland
