THYRA has landed 4 tracks on NEW MUSIC FRIDAY and reached 20,000 streams in just a single day.
The genre is a unique happy-sad blend of funk and dream pop. The music is often inspired by the “almost funny” melancholy that goes hand in hand with ecstasy and euphoria.
The band THYRA DK primarily consists of artist Thyra Hilden (lyrics and vocals), Lucas Caddeo (lyrics, instruments and production), and Jonas Pfeiffer (bass). In addition, the band collaborates with a range of different partners in the Danish music scene, both in the studio and on stage.
Alongside her work as a musician, Thyra has had a long career as a visual artist. She is particularly known internationally for setting fire to a number of major, iconic institutions, including the Colosseum in Rome and ARoS Art Museum. Most recently, she received widespread media attention for selling a sliced-open banana for DKK 81,000 at ENTER Art Fair 2025. The work consists of a banana cut halfway through and opened up to resemble a vulva. The work is permanently exhibited at ORDNUNG in Copenhagen.
All songs fits playlists like: Pop, Dark Funk Pop, Indie, Dark Disco, Chill, Dream Pop, Psychedelic, Chamber Music
